Real Madrid Vs Atletico Madrid: The Starting 11

The upcoming match is against Atletico Madrid at a neutral stadium in Saudi Arabia which is the Final of the Supercopa. Being the first final of the season this is very crucial, Madrid is not going to take any risks this time.

First I would like to see the

Injury list:
  1. Asensio
  2. Hazard
  3. Bale
  4. Benzema
Suspended:

1. None

Just recovered:
  1. James
  2. Marcelo
  3. Lucas Vazquez
Practiced:

Asensio and Hazard continue with their recovery processes. Bale and Benzema have not traveled to Saudi Arabia for the tournament and should not feature in the final.

Skipped Practice:

None

Coach Comments:
  • Nothing specific
Other Comments:
    • Bale and Benzema are not traveling.
    Squad Updates:

This is a crucial game for the Supercopa title, and it is a knockout game. Ramos is now available ,so Ramos and Varane should be seen in the starting 11 and as Marcelo had a muscular injury and just returned he was a bit scrappy and should not make into the starting line up.  So Mendy, Ramos, Varane and Carvajal will start. Defence has been good and expected to prevent the occasional errors those have led to the goals.

In the goal Courtois will start, having got a few good games in the past, things look definitely very positive.

All the four super mid-fielders are doing great, Modric, Kroos, Valverde and Casemiro. And now Isco is added to that, there are 5 options for available as starters. So, it is going to be Casemiro, Kroos and Valverde in the middle. And Modric and Isco will start on the flanks like they did in the Semi-final.

Isco will be seen as a starter on the attacking trident on the left flank instead of the mid field and Modric will start on the right.

As Hazard, Bale and Benzema have been injured Jovic, Vinicius and Rodrygo are the go to options. So, Isco, Jovic and Modric should start in absence of Bale and Benzema. And will have Mariano, Vinicius, James and Rodrygo as substitutes depending on the work rate of others.

So the final starting 11 will be:

Real Madrid Vs Levante: The Starting 11 on 14th Sep 2019 From now on I will try to post the probable 11 for Real Madrid that will start in each match. The upcoming match is against the Levante, who are currently positioned 4th and have won last two matches in La Liga. First I would like to see the injury list : Isco Modric Asensio Valverde Suspended : Bale (Red card) Just recovered: Jovic  James Hazard Brahim Diaz Rodrygo Practiced: All except the injured lot, Casemiro, Militao and Vinicius had just one practice session. Skipped Practice: None Coach Comments: Hazard to play but need to be careful Vinicius has his confidence, but need to mature So the line up seems Hazard to start but will play for 60 mins or so, and will be replaced by Vinicius. With Bale not available the right wing should be owned by Vinicius, but as there are other injury worries Vinicius will only be used as a substitute and Lucas Vazquez will start in th...

Real Madrid vs Celta Vigo: The Starting 11

The upcoming match is against Celta Vigo at home in the La liga match day 24.  Celta are 17th on the leader-board and Real are top of the league. This is a chance for Real to extend the lead and as the gap at the top is very narrow,  Madrid is not going to take any risks this time. Looking at the  Injury list: Asensio Mariano James Only Asensio is injured. And he has not been practicing with the team. He has started individual workouts now. We hope his recovery is faster and soon he starts playing with the team. Suspended : None, Mendy has 4 yellows and has a risk of suspension. Just recovered: Hazard He has started practicing with the team for two weeks now but still a doubt to play as a starter. Practiced: Asensio is on his recovery process. Shaktar Donetsk Vs Real Madrid: The Starting 11

The upcoming match against Shaktar Donetsk is an away game in the Champions league match day 5.  The last Real Madrid game was against Alaves which was the worst performance of the season. This was pathetic display in every department leading to a dismal loss. It was the 1st home defeat to Alaves in 20 years, says volumes about the teams display. The team had 20 shots, of which 9 were on target and only 1 goal which meant the intensity in attack was totally missing. The team rating for the match against Alaves can be found here:  Team Rating This is the fifth game of the group stage and Real have no option but to win this for their fans and for themselves and to keep their chance of progression alive. Looking at the Injury list: Ramos Odriozola Valverde Hazard Carvajal Suspended : None Just recovered: Militao Benzema Practiced: The rest of the players are available for selection.  Skipped Practice: None Coach Comments: There is no explanation. Real Madrid Vs Levante: The Starting 11 Post Match

I Suggested the following starting 11: Zidane had slightly different plan. He made just one change Started Vinicius instead of Hazard on the left. All other changes were during the match and were  Casemiro was replaced by Hazard (Casemiro was tired and had a long flight and jet lag) and this meant James had to drop to the centre deeper. Ramos with slight discomfort went out and Militao replaced him (Like for Like, and a cautionary substitution looking ahead into the next matches) Benzema was replaced by Jovic (Again another Like for like change) and giving some more for the new and recovered player to get adapted to the new side, at the same time give some rest for Benzema. If we analyze Real are still loose in the back and the defenders are not consolidating their usual authority. With Casemiro it is slightly stronger than with any other holding mid-fielder replacing him.  Final comment for the team after the match is  Finishing: ...
