Getafe Vs Real Madrid: The Starting 11

The upcoming match is against Getafe away from home in the Coliseum Alfonso Perez in the La Liga match day 33. The last Real Madrid game was against Liverpool which was a good defensive game with several regulars unavailable, it was a good draw.

Currently Real are a recovering side, with few regulars out but need to win at any cost to be alive in the title race. 

Earlier the home game was a 2-0 Win for Real.

This will be the Forty third game of the season and Real have been inconsistent in the matches and so has been the results, they have had 26 wins, 8 Draws and 8 losses. In the last few games except the last three, the performance has been poor especially in attack and with this ailing team it is not making the run any easier.

Getafe is an attacking side and are good in the defense, so Real will need to be careful in both departments and be ready for their counters.

In the goal Courtois will start, he has been in a good form. He has supported the defense very well but has not received the same support back from the team and more so with so many changes owing to the injuries in defense.

Mendy should start on the left. As Ramos is out injured and Nacho is suspended Militao and Varane should start, it is expected that Varane will recover from COVID. Carvajal is now back and might play. So Mendy, Varane, Militao and Odriozola should start. Carvajal, Marcelo and Chust should be available as substitutes.

Modric has been a bit off pace in the last few games but was in control and the performance in the last few games have been great. Same goes with Kroos, who has been exceptional. So, Kroos and Modric should start. As Casemiro is suspended due to Red card, he will be replaced by Valverde. Isco, Arribas and Blanco should start from the bench. 

The forwards have been poor all season except, they have been wasting many chances in front of the goal.  Hazard is possibly back but might not start and Vinicius should start on the left, being good in the last three games. With Asensio playing well, he should get his chance ahead of Rodrygo. And Benzema should start upfront.  

As there are 5 substitutions available, ZZ should think for more rotations in the second half especially taking into consideration the team's fatigue and injuries.

This match is a postponed match from first week. The last Real Madrid game was against Huesca which was a poor overall play except for some bright display for the result, which was a comeback win.

Right now Real need to win at any cost so that they get their respect back, the gap at the top is already huge. 

Last year this fixture was a 1-0 win for Real.

This will be the Thirtieth game of the season and Real have been fairly inconsistent in their performances and results, they have had 16 wins, 5 Draws and 8 losses. In the last few matches the performance has dipped to the lowest of the season and with this thin squad things are getting complicated.  

Getafe had dipped this season but were on the up last few games except for the last game where they ended with 10 men.

In the goal Courtois will start, he has been in a good form. He has supported the defense really well but has not received the return favor from the team.

Mendy should start on the left. As Ramos is out after surgery Militao might return but Nacho should get the nod ahead of him and Varane will start as the center backs. Carvajal should be fit by this week's game, he should start on the right. So Mendy, Nacho, Varane and Carvajal should start. But if Carvajal is taken out due to relapse of the injury, it would be Mendy, Nacho, Varane and Militao.

Modric seemed too tired and as Kroos is out. So, Isco, Casemiro and Modric should start. Marvin, Valverde and few youth squad members should start from the bench.

The upcoming match is against Getafe at home in the La liga match day 33. Getafe are 6th on the leader-board and Real are 1st and just 2 points more than Barcelona on the league table. This game is one of the most important game that will decide the league, Madrid can not take any risks at all and have to win at all costs if they want to remain in the contention.

• Overall team play was weak and were not able to convert many chances nor were able to create many. The team needs to step up against a good team.

Squad Updates:

This is a crucial game for the league title as the margin is just 2 points and several difficult games lined up for both teams, Real has to be very careful in selecting the team and go full throttle to get the 3 points.  

In the goal Courtois will start, he has been in a good form and needs to keep this up.

Ramos and Varane will start as the center backs, though Ramos needs some rest but this game would be very tough and needs his mentor-ship on the field. Mendy was not available last game and will be fresh to start.So, Mendy will start on the left and will provide better defensive option and Carvajal will start on the right. So Mendy, Ramos, Varane and Carvajal should start. Defence has been in good form but there were few errors which went unpunished in the last game. So, the defence will have to be very careful.

All the mid-fielders are available now, Modric is fresh and available after the game off last time due to suspension. And he should start, so it is going to be Kroos, Casemiro and Modric in the middle. Valverde, Isco and James will be on the bench and will come handy in the second half. With matches coming thick and fast these substitutions will be key to maintaining the fitness and avoid fatigue.

As forwards have in good shape but still not converted many chances, it is going to be a difficult decision for ZZ. Vinicius was rested last game and will be fresh to start, and with Hazard seeming a bit tired needs a short break. Squad Updates:

This is a crucial game for La Liga title race, with all the teams neck to neck. There is no Ramos available due to accumulation of 5 yellow cards, so Militao and Varane should be seen in the starting 11 and as Marcelo had a muscular injury and just returned he should miss making into the starting line up and Mendy should start.  So Mendy, Militao, Varane and Carvajal will start. Defence has been good and expected to prevent the occasional errors those have led to the goals.

In the goal Courtois will start, having got a few good games in the past, things look definitely positive.

All the four super mid-fielders are doing great, Modric, Kroos, Valverde and Casemiro. And now Isco is added to that there are 5 options for three starters. So, it is going to be Casemiro, Kroos and Valverde. Modric will come as a substitute and will be seen as a starter for the next Valencia game in three days' time. Isco will be seen as a starter on the attacking trident on the left flank instead of the mid field.

As Hazard has been injured Isco, Bale, Vinicius and Rodrygo are the go to options. So, Isco, Benzema and Rodrygo should start. And will have Bale, Vinicius, James and Jovic as substitutes depending on the work rate of others.
