Granada Vs Real Madrid: The Starting 11

The upcoming match is against Granada away from home in the La liga match day 36. Granada are 9th on the leader-board and Real are 1st and just 4 points more than Barcelona on the league table. This game is the most important game now, and has the potential to decide the league, Madrid can not take any risk and will have to win at all costs if they want to make sure that the league title is theirs.

Real Madrid had won 4-2 at home in the first leg.

Squad Updates:

This is a title deciding match for Real Madrid, Real has a margin of just 4 points and there are 3 games in hand, it could get tricky for both teams. Real has to be very cautious in selecting the team, more so with several injuries and fatigue setting in for some players. They will try to get all the 3 points at any cost.

In the goal Courtois will start, he has been in a good form and needs to keep the same going.

Ramos and Carvajal will be back after the suspension but Marcelo misses out due to injury. So Ramos and Varane will start as the center backs. Mendy would start on the left and Carvajal on the right. So Mendy, Varane, Ramos and Carvajal should start. Defence has been in fine form but there were few errors which were not taken full advantage of in the past few games. So, the defence will have to be very careful.

All the mid-fielders are available now but James might opt out to play like last few games. Modric was really good in the last game. So it is going to be Kroos, Casemiro and Modric in the middle. Valverde and Isco will be on the bench and will come handy in the second half. With matches coming thick and fast these substitutions will play a key role in maintaining the fitness of the team and avoiding fatigue.

The forwards have been in good shape but still did not convert many chances except in the last game, it is going to be a difficult decision for ZZ. Asensio and Rodrygo played well, Hazard came back from injury and played for some minutes, but ZZ will not start him as a caution. Vinicius got his short break and should start on the left. So Vinicius, Benzema and Asensio should start, and Jovic, Mariano, Bale, Hazard, Lucas Vazquez and Rodrygo should be on the bench.

As there are 5 substitutions available, ZZ should think for more rotations in the second half.

The probable substitutions will be:

Asensio Rodrygo/Lucas Vazquez
Vinicius > Hazard
Modric > Valverde
Kroos > Isco
Benzema > Mariano/Bale/Jovic

So the formation would be 4 3 3.

So the final starting 11 will be:

The Starting 11: Best team for the first quarter Real Madrid

Real Madrid have completed 9 matches in the La liga, which is approximately 25% of the campaign. And they have played 3 matches in Champion's league which has a maximum of 13 matches to win it. Effectively 25% of the season is over. The standings are as follows, 2nd in the league behind Barcelona, having played most of the top teams except Barcelona. If they continue the same momentum they have a good chance in the league, and just to point they have done so with several injuries. Real has lost just one match but overall performance needs improvement So the future seems bright, the team needs more consistency in defence and goal keeping. In the champion's league they are second behind PSG, who have a 100% win record. One desperate win, one tough draw and a bad loss, the shape of the team is not great. They will qualify it seems but given the easy group, things are not smooth for sure. But going ahead their solid performance is what is required. In the competitio...

Shaktar Donetsk Vs Real Madrid: The Starting 11

The upcoming match against Shaktar Donetsk is an away game in the Champions league match day 5.  The last Real Madrid game was against Alaves which was the worst performance of the season. This was pathetic display in every department leading to a dismal loss. It was the 1st home defeat to Alaves in 20 years, says volumes about the teams display. The team had 20 shots, of which 9 were on target and only 1 goal which meant the intensity in attack was totally missing. The team rating for the match against Alaves can be found here:  Team Rating This is the fifth game of the group stage and Real have no option but to win this for their fans and for themselves and to keep their chance of progression alive.
