Manchester City Vs Real Madrid: The Starting 11

The upcoming match is against Manchester City away from, their season ended with 81 points and 2nd on the EPL where as Real Madrid ended up as the La Liga champions.Manchester has a 2-1 goal advantage and given the scenario Real can not take any risks but go for a win and that too with a 2 goal margin.


First I would like to see the

This match is a do or die for Real Madrid now. And they have to win with 2 goals to be through or score at least two goals and win to force extra time. This is going to be a war.

In the goal Courtois will start, he has been in a good form and needs to keep the same going.

Ramos misses out due to suspension. So Militao and Varane will start as the center backs. Marcelo would start on the left and Carvajal on the right. So Marcelo, Varane, Ramos and Carvajal should start. Defence has been in fine form but there were few errors in the last few games. So, the defence will have to be very careful. Marcelo is given precedence due to his attacking and goal scoring prowess.

All the mid-fielders are available now but James might opt out to play like last few games. Modric was really good in the last few games and might start ahead of Valverde who should come as a substitute in the second half. So it is going to be Kroos, Casemiro and Modric in the middle. Valverde and Isco will be on the bench and will come handy in the second half. 

The forwards have been in good shape  as well but still did not convert many chances. was not fully fit in the last few games but given the gravity of the game should start. So, Hazard should start on the left and Asensio on the right and Vinicius and Rodrygo should come as changes. So Hazard, Benzema and Asensio should start, and Jovic, Bale, Vinicius, Lucas Vazquez and Rodrygo should be on the bench.

As there are 5 substitutions available, ZZ should think for more rotations in the second half to take advantage of the slowing defence.

The probable substitutions will be: 

Asensio > Rodrygo
Vinicius > Hazard
Valverde > Modric
Kroos > Isco
Marcelo > Mendy
Benzema > Bale/Jovic
Carvajal > Lucas Vazquez

The upcoming match is against Alcoyano away from home in the Copa Del Rey round of 32.  The last Real Madrid game was against Athletic Bilbao which was very bad result after abysmal display in all departments but there were several opportunities wasted by the forwards and defensive errors costed us the game.
