Real Madrid Vs Granada: The Starting 11

The upcoming match is against Granada at home in the La liga match day 15. The last Real Madrid game was against Eibar which was great result after a great first 20 minutes and then wasting several chances made it easy for the opponents. But overall good display.

The team rating for the match against Eibar can be found here: Team Rating

This is one of the important league matches of the season as there is no room at the top. Real have no option but to win this fixture.

Last year this fixture was a 4-2 Win.

Squad Updates:

This will be the Twenty first game of the season and Real have been inconsistent in their performances, they have 12 wins, 3 Draws and 5 losses. And in the last few of games the performance levels have improved but in the last game even after taking the lead they were under pressure and lost ball too easily. Goal scoring is still not sharp and the team wasted several chances.

Granada has a good attack as well as a good defense. So, Real will need to be sharper in the attack and careful defensively.

In the goal Courtois will start, he has been in good form now and his poor form is in the past. He has shown signs of improvement in the last few games, which is very positive for the team. Though he was beaten by a spectacular shot last game, nothing could have been done there.

Mendy will start on the left. Ramos and Varane will start as the center backs. And Carvajal will start on the right. So Mendy, Ramos, Varane and Carvajal should start. Defense has been in fine form for last few games but Varane seemed to lack confidence and was indecisive on several occasions. They need to be well coordinated against the sharp attack.

Modric has been amazing but seems to have got an injury, so he is out of the Granada game. Real has been creative and controlling well in the midfield. As Casemiro is back, Valverde, Casemiro and Kroos should start. Modric, Ødegaard and Isco will start from the bench.

The forwards have been better in the last three games but they have still been spurning chances in front of the goal. Hazard may be available on the bench, but without match fitness Rodrygo should start on the left, Benzema upfront and Lucas Vazquez on the right. So, Vinicius, Hazard, Jovic and Asensio should start from the bench.

As there are 5 substitutions available, ZZ should think for more rotations in the second half especially taking into consideration that the team's fitness.

The probable substitutions will be:

Rodrygo > Hazard/Asensio
Valverde > Ødegaard/Modric
Kroos > Isco
Mendy > Marcelo
Lucas Vazquez > Jovic/Asensio

So the formation would be 4 3 3.

The most probable kit to be used for the game will be the home kit!!!

So the final starting 11 will be:

Real Betis Vs Real Madrid: The Starting 11

Before going into the next match I will rate the performance of players in the last game vs Barcelona in the El Clasico. Benzema: 5/10, Poor game that has very less involvement, only misses and bad finishes, final third game play was better than previous game but still not up to the mark. Vinicius: 9/10, Became the youngest to score in the El Clasico, had several good plays. The early yellow could have made him a little cautious but played his heart out and recovered 3-4 balls for the team. Isco: 8.5/10, Good game and a few good runs, a great shot at goal which was stopped by the keeper. He was good in distribution as well, could have taken a few more chances but was a bit of communication problem with Marcelo. Kroos: 8/10, Seemed the one to orchestrate the game. Great assist in the first goal and maintained composure throughout the game, even under pressure, coordinated well with attack and defence really well.  Casemiro: 8.5/10, What a game! With an assist or goal he would...
