The upcoming match is against Liverpool away from home in the Anfield in the Champions league, this will be the second leg. The last Real Madrid game was against Barcelona which was a good game in all departments having to defend on several occasions, it was a good win even after some key players were missing .

The team rating for the match against Barcelona can be found here: Team Rating

Currently Real are a recovering side, with few regulars out but need to win at any cost to be alive in the competition and progress in the competition.

Coach Comments:
  • Zidane: “We deserved the win. We are very happy with the result, it was a complicated game. Physically we are at the limit playing in two competitions is difficult.”
Other Comments:
  • Nacho: "It was a very complicated game, very wet conditions. It's very important and special to win El Clásico. We're now at the top and today was a final for us. We still have 8 games to play, a lot to play for. We were very comfortable breaking on the counter."
Squad Updates:

This will be the Forty second game of the season and Real have been somewhat inconsistent in the matches and so has been the results, they have had 26 wins, 7 Draws and 8 losses. In the last few games except the last three, the performance has been poor especially in attack and with this ailing team it is not making the run any easier.

Liverpool is a good attacking side and are okay in the defense, so Real will need to be careful in both departments and be ready for their counters.

In the goal Courtois will start, he has been in a good form. He has supported the defense very well but has not received the same support back from the team and more so with so many changes owing to the injuries in defense.

Mendy should start on the left. As Ramos is out injured Nacho should get the nod ahead for the center back position and Varane is out due to Covid and so Militao will start again. Carvajal is now back and might play. So Mendy, Nacho, Militao and Carvajal should start. Odriozola, Marcelo and Chust should be available as substitutes.

Modric has been a bit slow in the last few games but was superbly in control and the performance in the last few games have been great. Same goes with Kroos, who has been exceptional. So, Kroos, Casemiro and Modric should start. Isco, Arribas and Blanco should start from the bench. Valverde had a muscle injury but is believed to be be available.

The forwards have been poor all season except last three games, they have been wasting many chances in front of the goal even then.  Hazard is possibly back but might not start and Vinicius should start on the left, being good in the last three games. With Asensio playing well, he should get his chance ahead of Rodrygo. And Benzema should start upfront.

As there are 5 substitutions available, ZZ should think for more rotations in the second half especially taking into consideration the team's fatigue and injuries for the next games.

The probable substitutions will be:

Vinicius > Hazard
Modric > Valverde
Asensio > Rodrygo
Kroos > Isco
Benzema > Mariano

So the formation would be 4 3 3.

The most probable kit to be used for the game will be the home kit!!!

So the final starting 11 will be:

Carvajal OUT <> Odriozola IN

The upcoming match is against the PSG in Paris, they too have several injury and form worries themselves. Current Squad Declared with Uefa: https://www.uefa.com/uefachampionsleague/season=2020/clubs/club=50051/squad/ (Source: Uefa.com) First I would like to see the  injury list : Isco Modric Asensio Valverde Marcelo Suspended : Ramos  Nacho Just recovered: Jovic  James Hazard Brahim Diaz Rodrygo Practiced: All except the injured lot. So the line up seems Hazard to start on the left but will have a backup in Vinicius. With Bale getting rest in la liga is certain to start on the right and switch to left time to time. James has been playing well and with most of the other mid fielders injures is certain to play behind Benzema. Kroos and Casemiro will control the game in the mid. With the suspens...
