Overall team play was poor, especially in the first half and were not able to convert many chances nor were able to create many. The team needs to step up against a good team.

This is a very crucial match for the league title as the margin is just 4 points and several tricky games lined up for both teams, Real has to be very cautious in selecting the team and go full on to get the 3 points.

In the goal Courtois will start, he has been in a good form and needs to keep this up.

Ramos and Varane will start as the center backs, though Ramos needs some rest but this game would be very tough and needs his leadership on the field. Mendy was great last game but was involved a lot, so Marcelo should be the one start. And Carvajal will start on the right. So Marcelo, Ramos, Varane and Carvajal should start. Defence has been in good form but there were few errors which went unpunished in the last game and the game before. So, the defence will have to be very careful. Varane should be back after his minor injury during the last game, fortunately he got some rest.

All the mid-fielders are available now, Valeverde should be go to option instead of Modric due to physical nature of the game. And he should start, so it is going to be Kroos, Casemiro and Modric in the middle. Modric, Isco and James will be on the bench and will come handy in the second half. With matches coming so frequently these substitutions will be key to maintaining the fitness and avoid fatigue.

The forwards have been in good shape but still not converted many chances, it is going to be a difficult decision for ZZ. Before going into the next Match I will rate the performance of players in the last game vs Levante. Benzema: 3/10, Only misses and bad finishes, final third game play missing. Hazard: 4/10, created a few chances, missed a sure 1 on 1 chance, got injured again Isco: 5/10, too much 1-2 passes and final third game play missing, need to release quicker. Good distribution outside the box. Modric: 7/10, did his bit, created ample chances, could have pressed better for the goal, but was surely a wonder strike Casemiro: 8/10, did all he was supposed to do, took a yellow when required, made his presence felt in the attack as well, could have headed it home but missed. Before going into the next match I will rate the performance of players in the last game vs Barcelona in the El Clasico. Benzema: 5/10, Poor game that has very less involvement, only misses and bad finishes, final third game play was better than previous game but still not up to the mark. Vinicius: 9/10, Became the youngest to score in the El Clasico, had several good plays. The early yellow could have made him a little cautious but played his heart out and recovered 3-4 balls for the team. Isco: 8.5/10, Good game and a few good runs, a great shot at goal which was stopped by the keeper.
