The upcoming match against Alaves at home in the La liga match day 11. Real Madrid will play their fourth home match of the season. The last Real Madrid game was against Inter which was a great display, this was one of the better performances of the team and all departments have shown improvements.

The team rating for the match against Inter can be found here: Team Rating

With so many back to back matches and poor results in the past La liga games, Real have no option but to win this for themselves and their title chance.

Squad Updates:

This will be the fourteenth game of the season and Real have been inconsistent in their performances in the last few games but now all departments are showing signs of improvement. Madrid would want to win this at any cost.

Alaves has a good attack but they too have been inconsistent. But Real will need to be solid in the defence.

In the goal Courtois will start, he has been in fine form but has conceded several goals in the last few games and several penalties have also been conceded.

Mendy has to start on the left. Nacho and Varane will start as the center backs. And Carvajal will start on the right. So Mendy, Nacho, Varane and Carvajal should start. Defence has been in shambles for some time but last couple of games they have been better. Hoping that this will continue to improve further.

Modric has been exceptional but might need some rest and should be favorite to start from the bench. Mid field has been better in the last few games even without Valverde and Casemiro. Real is getting the control back in the midfield and hope this progression continues.  Ødegaard, Casemiro, Kroos should start. Modric and Isco will start from the bench.

The forwards have been very inconsistent, a lot of it is due to the injuries and discontinuity. Benzema should recover by the game time and should start from the bench. Hazard should start on the left, Mariano upfront and Rodrygo on the right. Lucas Vazquez, Vinicius, Benzema and Asensio should start on the bench providing some different flavor in the second half .

As there are 5 substitutions available, ZZ should think for more rotations in the second half.

The probable substitutions will be:

Hazard > Vinicius
Ødegaard > Modric
Kroos > Isco
Mendy > Marcelo
Rodrygo > Asensio
Mariano > Benzema

So the formation would be 4 3 3.

The most probable kit to be used for the game will be the home kit !!!

So the final starting 11 will be:

The Starting 11: Best team for the first quarter Real Madrid

Real Madrid have completed 9 matches in the La liga, which is approximately 25% of the campaign. And they have played 3 matches in Champion's league which has a maximum of 13 matches to win it. Effectively 25% of the season is over. The standings are as follows, 2nd in the league behind Barcelona, having played most of the top teams except Barcelona. If they continue the same momentum they have a good chance in the league, and just to point they have done so with several injuries. Real has lost just one match but overall performance needs improvement So the future seems bright, the team needs more consistency in defence and goal keeping. In the champion's league they are second behind PSG, who have a 100% win record. One desperate win, one tough draw and a bad loss, the shape of the team is not great. They will qualify it seems but given the easy group, things are not smooth for sure. But going ahead their solid performance is what is required. In the competitio...

Shaktar Donetsk Vs Real Madrid: The Starting 11

The upcoming match against Shaktar Donetsk is an away game in the Champions league match day 5.  The last Real Madrid game was against Alaves which was the worst performance of the season. This was pathetic display in every department leading to a dismal loss. It was the 1st home defeat to Alaves in 20 years, says volumes about the teams display. The team had 20 shots, of which 9 were on target and only 1 goal which meant the intensity in attack was totally missing. The team rating for the match against Alaves can be found here:  Team Rating This is the fifth game of the group stage and Real have no option but to win this for their fans and for themselves and to keep their chance of progression alive. The upcoming match is against Valencia away from home, currently they are at 8th and Real are 2nd on the leader-board. With equal points with Barcelona  Madrid is not going to take any risks this time again. First I would like to see the  Injury list : Asensio Lucas Vazquez Hazard Marcelo Suspended : 1.   Mendy   Just recovered: Nacho, James Practiced: Asensio, Hazard and Lucas Vázquez continue with their recovery processes. James combined work in the gym and out on the pitch. Bale is back with the team. Skipped Practice: None Coach Comments: Nothing specific Other Comments: With the rest given to Bale, it is time for him to start. Squad Updates: This is a crucial game for La Liga title race, with all the teams neck to neck. With Varane back playing regularly we will have him in the starting 11 and as Marcelo has a muscular injury he should miss and Mendy has a red card so Nacho should sta...
